Bring on the moving truck!

Matt and I are moving in together next month (insert happy dance here) and I am already day dreaming of ways I can decorate my still to be determined new home. Clearly this means I have already put in too many hours perusing one of my favorite online shops, ZGallerie. They have some brilliant new pieces and I wanted to share some of my favorites!

Cheaper version of the infamous Colette bed over at CB? I think so!

I am having a large glass coffee table moment right now

Current Obsession: Armonia Decors

I was literally stopped in my tracks when I “clicked” the page of the latest issue of High Gloss and stumbled upon Armonia Decors. The designer behind the name, Emily Ruddo, has an uncanny ability to mix glam and traditional elements and turn them into stunning homes. Her portfolio showcases her extraordinary sense of style and I think I could find myself quite at home in any of her design projects. Check out the images below, and I bet you will agree with me!

I DIE for this chandelier and these chairs

Something about this room reminds me of Carrie’s apartment in Sex and the City, the movie. Love this wall color.

This octopus art work will haunt me for the rest of my life. I love it and can’t find it anywhere!!

San Francisco Treat

I am just now getting to the June issue of House Beautiful and was floored when I saw the home below. It is a Victorian townhome in San Francisco that was completely redone (must be nice) and decorated exquisitely. It is one of the best mixes of traditional and modern I have ever seen. I must say in most home magazines there are typically a few rooms here and there that I fall for in a feature but NEVER the entire house. This was a first, and I can not stop gushing over it.

Interior Design by Ken Fulk

Exterior: It was repainted a crisp white with an attention grabbing red door. I am also loving the black trim around the windows.

SF1

Entry Way: My love for black walls continues, especially when paired with a stunning light fixture and Jonathan Adler throw pillows. Loving the mix of the fresh white chairs and the traditional side table.

SF

Formal Living Room: This was the issues cover, and a perfect blend of traditional meets modern. I usually air on the side of modern, but something about this room really grabbed me. It probably has something to do with the crisp white and the pop of bright pink flowers. It just looks so clean and peaceful without being pretentious.

sf2

Dining Room: Amazeballs. The glass table with brass legs (west elm), the lucite lamp, the glamorous chandelier…need I go on?

sf3

Kitchen: Oh clean and crisp white kitchens, how I adore you. Those pendant lamps are silly awesome too.

sf4

Staircase: Zebra + B&W gallery wall = WOW.

sf5

Family Room: It’s so cozy and warm, a perfect place to sip an americano and catch up on magazines.

sf6

Master Bath: Simply lovely, and that crystal ship chandelier from ZGallerie makes the perfect whimsical statement.

sf7

Master Bedroom: This is actually my least favorite room. I think it’s the overly ornate bed. However, I do love the black and white pinstripe wall.

sf8

Guest Room: I Die. This room is incredible. The bold black and white stripes mixed with the cowhide rug. I mean, seriously?? I am loving the pop of the stark white gallery wall on the striped walls too! Ugh, must have this in my future home one day. LOVE.

I’m in a New York State of Mind

Wow! The past few weeks have been a complete whirlwind. Between wedding planning, the Mavs winning, woooooork, and one major life changing decision, I have barely had a second to sit still. I am not complaining though, because now it’s on to packing for our engagement photos in New York this weekend. To say I am beyond thrilled is an understatement.

How can I get a photo like this? I guess owning the shoes would be a start…oh well.

Colored Denim Obsession

Red, yellow, orange, blue…I don’t care, I love them all. It’s such a fun way to sass up an otherwise mundane summer day. Dress them up or dress them down, either way you will look stylish.

Team Dallas

Last night at the Mavs game, an incredibly touching promo was played featuring some of Dallas’ greatest athletes. The crowd was on it’s feet cheering long after it was over and I wanted to share it with you too! Still believing!!

Because you should know...

"Pull for Dallas to win these NBA Finals because Miami will get foklifts of rings today. This might be Dallas' last chance.

Pull for Dallas because it got screwed in the 2006 Finals worse than Bartman. To lost to the same team five years later would be tantamount to basketball waterboarding.

Pull for Dallas because Mark Cuban hasn't opened his mouth once.

Pull for Dallas because Dirk Nowitzki deserves this title more than anybody else on the floor, more than Lebron James, more than Dwayne Wade.

Pull for Dallas because Nowitzki stayed with his team, never took his talents anywhere but to the damn gym every day.

Pull for Dallas because Nowitski has stuck it out through 13 seasons so far with this one team, stuck it through all those depressing playoff springs, all those one-and-dones, all those words people called him -- "loser" "choker" "soft" -- stuck it out even when Steve Nash left, leaving Nowitzki with a lot of nobodies and some mops.

Pull for Dallas because when you ask Nowitzki why he didn't bolt the way everybody else does, he simply says, "Because this is where my heart is."

Pull for Dallas because Nowitzki didn't try to win a title the new way, didn't pick the best kids on the playground and take on everybody else, didn't get a bunch of super-human friends and schedule himself a ring, like you might a kegger on your birthday party.

Pull for Dallas because Nowitzki has this crazy idea about trying to win one the old fashioned way, by getting better.

Pull for Dallas because James is so heaven-sent talented that he'll get more than his share of rings before he's done.

Pull for Dallas because Nowitzki is much closer to done than starting now.

Pull for Dallas because 38-year-old Jason Kidd deserves one, too, despite what he says. "I want this more for Dirk than for me.," says Kidd, who's played in three decades -- 17 years -- in this league without champagne in his hair. "All the work Dirk's put in, all the time. Man he deserves it more than anybody on this team. Plus, if he gets it, that means I get one too, right?"

Pull for Dallas because Kidd is the guy everybody likes, the Ray Bourque of the NBA, the one everybody wants to see hold the trophy over his head someday. If he doesn't win in now, in his third Finals try, he'll never win it.

Pull for Dallas because it has the best locker room in the NBA, not a whiner among them. There are more good guys in that room than in some divisions.

Pull for Dallas because it doesn't do pre-championship celebrations. Dallas has this crazy notion that you should actually hold the trophy in your hands before you throw the parade. Wouldn't it be nice to give them one?

Pull for these Dallas Mavericks because the way things are going, the Dallas Cowboys may never win a title again.

Pull for Dallas because it's clear they're the underdogs in this, sort of they way a squirrel is the underdog vs. an owl. You knew that after Tuesday night's Game 1, the way LeBron James was flying over people like Air Florida and Dwayne Wade was dazzling everybody else, the way he does in NBA Finals. You knew that the way they pulled away to that win in Game 1.

Pull for Dallas because its best player, Nowitzki, has a torn tendon in his left finger now and yet never once blinked when we asked if he'll keep playing.

Pull for Dallas because it's not about The Decision. It's about one team taking the easy way to a title and another team taking a way that just keeps getting harder.

Pull for Dallas, because, my God, how many good things can happen to Pat Riley in one lifetime."

Above Article Written by: Rick Reily

In my opinion, pull for Dallas because of their quiet humility. The way Dirk exited the western conference championship ceremony early and the rest of the team followed suit. The way you never hear Dirk use the word "I", it's always "We". The way we can get wrongfully attacked by two LA Lakers and never point fingers or call names. The way every player after game 1 of the Finals blamed themselves for the loss.

It's rare today to see athletes with such heart. In a world where greed is good, winning is best, and stepping on whomever you can to get there seems to be the most commonly used path, the Mavs have taken a different approach. They work hard, they play as a team, and in my opinion deserve this title more than anyone. It saddens me to realize if the Heat win, collusion among players is going to run rampant and loyalty will fade. The day when professional basketball was a team sport will begin to deteriorate. The focus will now be on, who can I couple myself with and when can I schedule my ring fitting. The nature of the game will change, and the competition will become one-sided.

It's a long road ahead of us and it's no question we are the underdog but I am happy to say, win or lose, I have never been a bigger fan or prouder of the Dallas Mavericks.

Style Icon: Cat Deeley

So You Think You Dance is back!! Judge away if you must, but this is seriously one of my all time favorite shows. It’s so inspiring and makes me want to dance around my living room. Sadly, my future husband dances me under the table. No seriously, he is really good. A lot of booze has to be involved for me to even attempt to dance next to him in public. But anyways, the show being back for another season means I get to spend more time with one of my favorite style icons, Cat Deeley. Once a former model, this leggy blonde has now been the host of SYTYCD for 5 years. Her style is classic meets edgy, and she never has a miss. Just see for yourself…

My favorite thing is the shoes she always pairs with these showstopper dresses, take note below.
