Game Day Style: Notre Dame

When your best friend asks you to style her an outfit, it creates no ordinary challenge. There is a balance of creating what you know she will like and challenging her to push herself towards trends she may not like. With this in mind, and me being the option oriented person I am, I clearly created three choices for the perfect outfit for her first Notre Dame tailgate. One for the prep, one for the girl who teeters back and forth and one for the fashionista (biased).

As of late, I am over the moon for the quintessential sparkle, Gold. It’s classic and decadent all at once, and whether in your home or on your arm, one item is never enough. See my golden glamour mood board below for some inspiration of your own.

Falling for Brooklyn

There are a plethora of fashion bloggers out there, whom inspire daily. Many, who often make me scratch my head and ask how in the world did they manage to pull that amazing outfit together. I think I am pretty decent when it comes to putting together ensembles, but the art of layering and mixing high and low to the perfect culmination is still something I am trying to master. With that being said, I have a new favorite blogger who is quickly inspiring me to mix loud patterns and forge on with my highest heels. Her name is Brooklyn Blonde, and she is brilliant.

From Shoe to Outfit

Let’s just face it, Christian Louboutin doesn’t make a bad shoe. This commonly known fact, poses quite a predicament for someone with a salary not equivalent to a Kardashian. So in an effort to focus on something other than jealousy, I have decided to turn some of my favorite pairs into outfits. The Kasha studded bootie is just ridiculous. It’s actually quite rude to be that swoon worthy in my opinion, but no one asked me. Here is how I would pair it with some of this seasons biggest trends (clearly in my dream life where I am given shoes for free).

A Plea for Fall

Another month almost gone, and yet the temps still remain in the hundreds. Unfortunately, my favorite season of the year is quite short lived in Texas. Insert daily chant, “must get to New York soon”. Anyways, since I still live here, I am going to pretend that orange colored leaves are falling all around me – welcome to my imagination.
