The countdown for our move is on! We get the keys on July 15th, and I am already brainstorming away at the changes I want to make. There is one problem though – we will only be living in our new townhome for a year. For a design junkie, renting doesn’t make ones life easier. You can’t make as many modifications, and if it’s short term you don’t want to waste a lot of money accessorizing with items that may not fit in your next place. Grrr. However, in order to appease my design side and practical side (hmm…still not sure it really exists) I have decided the best thing to do is purchase investment pieces that will go with us wherever we move next. First on the list, is a new headboard. I have a bulky sleigh bed, purchased in college that I once loved but now drives me crazy. Oh, the joys of trends! The better news is that Matt happens to have a bed frame, that is in desperate need for a new headboard! There are so many great ones out there for reasonable prices these days as upholstered versions have become all the rage. However, it seems somewhat easy to build my own…right?
Yeah, I am still undecided. So here are a few of my favorites below to either purchase or inspire. Which do you like best?
Pre-Made:
Nail heads & Tufted from Ballard Designs
So much to love about Serena & Lily…except for the price! However, they come in so many customizable fabric choices
Holy Target! Who knew they had this in them!
Great affordable option at Urban in multiple color choices
West Elm love…
LOVING this fabric!
