Pumpkin Fever

Oh Fall, how I love thee. I was driving through Highland Park this weekend and was inspired by all of the beautiful fall entryways and decorations. Granted, the residents of HP have quite a bit more disposable income than I, so I will be sticking to a traditional pumpkin or two for now. Here are a few entryways to get you inspired and a fun DIY!

I found this super cute DIY on Luella and June last week, and can not wait to attempt myself. Make your very own sparkle pumpkins, by going to the this link.

The Coveteur takes on a Mah-jor Space

Get ready, we are about to step into the chicest office space of all … do you have your Louboutins on? Stylist and style icon, Rachel Zoe has opened her doors to the ladies behind Coveteur for a drool worthy feature that is sure to leave you inspired. We have all seen the space on The Zoe Project, but this intimate portrait series gives us a deeper glimpse into the glamour. From the rows of shoes, to the racks of vintage goodies, you won’t be left disappointed.

New decorating tip – throw some statement necklaces and bracelets on a side table for an instant glam touch.

A glimpse into her vintage collection, which she states “is the greatest source of inspiration when designing new looks. Reference the past to see what does and doesn’t work.”

As a personal reminder to one of her most remarkable challenges, the parking pass from the Academy Awards when she dressed Anne Hathaway in a record 8 outfits, sits upon a shelf.

Headboard on a budget

I’ve said it once, I’ll say it again, I love ZGallerie. A constant source of affordable accessories and furniture, they have mastered the art of creating classic yet trend-forward pieces. Now, we all know upholstered headboards are all the rage (clearly, this is my second blog post on them), and they have been for quite some time. However, acquiring the perfect one can either be costly or rather time consuming if you consider the DIY version. I have a hard enough time cutting in a straight line, so I have long given up on creating my own. Enter ZGallerie, who now offer a brilliant selection of bold and classic headboards. From Chevron to Suzani, they have it all and of course at a reasonable price point (starting at $449).

Black, White and Gray–All Day

I often come across well appointed rooms that I adore but, it’s rare for me to stumble upon an entire home that quite literally makes me weak in the knees. The Vancouver home below, recently featured on Made By Girl is beyond brilliant. The actual structure and detailing of the home is out of this world, not to mention the perfectly curated interior design.

How amazing are the super rich hardwood floors and the glass staircase railing??

The perfect bar – you’re guests have a place to relax while you are mixing up a cocktail!

Loving the touch of bold pattern, everything is a bit monochromatic and this adds a fun pop!

Freaking BA-NANAS kitchen!! (sorry Rachel Zoe is back) I mean, does it get any better than Carrera, white cabinetry and silver accents…I think not.

All hail, Annabel

The Coveteur, is quite possibly the most addicting site ever invited. Seriously, crack for fashion junkies. If you haven’t heard of it, it’s essentially a collection of pictures from the closets of “famous” people. Yes, you know the ones, with hoards of Louboutins and Oscar de la Renta dresses spilling out their armoire doors. We hate them, but can’t help to love them and are dying to know at all times what they are collecting. The current closet I’m coveting belongs to, Annabel Tollman. A journalist from New York, she has brought her glamorous touch to Interview, Vogue, In Style and The New York Times, to name a few. Be prepared to swoon below at her ultra feminine meets edgy glam boudoir.
