Unexpected Choices

 

One of the years trends that I absolutely love is Color Blocking. The array of unexpected color pairings is fresh and exciting. However, it is something that can go very wrong, very fast. As that is the case, here are a few quick rules to keep in mind when taking this trend from the runway to your home:

  • Keep accessories simple –- when you have a lot of colors going you want to keep the rest of your accessories neutral
  • Some of the best combinations are in the same color family, don’t worry about clashing or following rules
  • Keep it to two or three colors, you don’t want to look like a walking rainbow
  • Don’t be afraid –- this trend is bold, use bright colors!!
